New Year Resolutions

E-mail Print PDF

It is another New Year and another opportunity to pursue new goals and ambitions. My own personal track record in keeping resolutions is distinctly unimpressive. My 2010 resolution of getting fit and taking part in running events fell completely by the wayside in favour of being unhealthy and not running. Oops.

My personal resolution for 2011 is to increase my writing output both in this blog and other projects. I have a few abandoned, unfinished novels and short stories and more ideas to write down. My goal is to focus on these and actually finish one of these pieces. I also aim to do myself justice in my studies this year and push myself academically. No fitness or running related resolutions this year, who am I kidding!

We also all hope it will be a big year for Book Sanctuary. We are exceptionally close to launching the book store functionality. We’ll be contacting all of the writers who have expressed an interest in publishing with us and planning the first publications. We will also continue to forge links with writing groups, book festivals and arts organisations in order to offer mutual support and encouragement. The goal of Book Sanctuary being an online hub, or community, is still an important part of what we want to achieve.

2011 will be an interesting year for all I am sure, and we all wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.

Until next time,

Thomas and the Book Sanctuary team
